After the consultation with our experienced fertility doctor, you will proceed to the initial health workup, including a physical exam, a pelvic exam, any necessary blood tests, ultrasounds, and, for men, a semen analysis.
You can expect a comprehensive diagnosis and personalised treatment plan from us after all the investigation results are returned. A preliminary diagnosis may also be offered at the first visit based on the consultation and examination.
Our fertility doctor will discuss your test results in a methodical manner and suggest a suitable plan of action. This may involve further diagnostic testing, surgery, supplements / medication and even fertility treatments such as IVF or SOIUI .
If you and your partner are experiencing difficulty conceiving, our fertility tests comprising of ultrasound scans, ovulation assessments, tubal patency assessment and semen analysis can help to identify the underlying causes of infertility in order to facilitate an effective treatment plan for you.
In-vitro fertilisation (IVF) is a form of assisted reproductive technology in which sperm and egg are combined in a laboratory. The resulting embryo is then transferred into the uterus with the aim of successful implantation and achieving pregnancy.
With superovulation intra-uterine insemination (SOIUI), an enhanced sperm sample is injected directly into the woman’s uterus to increase the chances of conception once ovulation of mature eggs is triggered. Your fertility doctor will determine if this is a suitable treatment for you.
For women who are considering delaying childbearing or preserving their fertility for medical reasons, egg freezing may be a possible option. This involves extracting, freezing, and storing eggs to improve your chances of pregnancy later in life.
With over 20 years of obstetrics and gynaecology experience, Dr Christopher Ng is adept in various antenatal and gynaecological procedures such as ultrasound scan, antenatal risk assessment and care, as well as management of fertility problems.
